Moduly INFINEON

Our solid state relays (SSRs) are on/off remotely controlled switches with complete galvanic isolation from input to output. No power supply is needed on the output. Using a relay allows for low-power control (e.g. from a microprocessor) over a high-power signal (e.g. switching of AC and DC loads) while providing galvanic isolation between the logic part of the circuitry and high power signals.  This isolation provides users with protection from electrical shocks and protects  electronics (e.g. microprocessors) from damage from high-voltage spikes.

Infineon solid state relays are divided into two main sub-groups:

  • Photo Voltaic Isolators (PVI)
    • Isolated, low power DC voltage sources capable of driving MOSFET or IGBT gates directly
  • Photo Voltaic Relays (PVR)
    • PVI plus power MOSFET or IGBT
